FAQ

Where are you located?

I am based in Nokomis, Florida, and proudly serve families throughout Sarasota, Venice, Osprey, Englewood, Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, and the surrounding Gulf Coast communities.

If you're dreaming up a special location beyond the area, I'd love to hear about it!

What areas do you serve?

Most sessions take place throughout Sarasota County and the surrounding areas, including Venice, Nokomis, Osprey, Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, and Englewood.

Whether you envision a beach at sunset, a quiet park, your family's favorite outdoor spot, or even the comfort of your own home, we'll choose a location that best tells your story.

Do you travel for photoshoots?

Absolutely!

Travel throughout the Sarasota and Venice area is included. For locations outside my standard service area, a travel fee may apply depending on distance.

If you have a location in mind, don't hesitate to ask. I'm always happy to discuss custom sessions and travel opportunities.

How far in advance should I book?

I recommend booking 4 to 8 weeks in advance, especially for spring and fall sessions when availability is more limited.

That said, if you're hoping for a last-minute session, please reach out! If I have an opening, I'd love to make it happen.

How long does it take to get our photos?

Your gallery will be delivered within 2 to 3 weeks after your session.

Each image is individually hand-edited with great care to ensure your gallery reflects the quality and style you've seen throughout my portfolio.

Sometimes a little sooner, but never rushed.

What should we wear for our session?

Don't worry, you're not on your own!

After booking, you'll receive a wardrobe guide filled with tips on coordinating colors, choosing flattering outfits, and creating a timeless look that photographs beautifully.

I always recommend neutral tones, soft textures, and coordinating rather than perfectly matching. The goal is for your family's connection to be the focus, not the clothing.

Do you offer albums or prints?

Yes!

Your online gallery makes it easy to order professional-quality prints and keepsakes that are made to last for generations.

From framed wall art to heirloom albums and gift prints, I'm happy to help you choose the perfect way to enjoy your images beyond the screen.

Can we bring our dog?

Absolutely!

Dogs are part of the family, and they're always welcome during outdoor sessions, provided the location allows pets.

I simply recommend bringing a leash, a few treats, water, and, if possible, a friend or family member who can help care for your pup when they're not in the photos.

What if my child doesn't cooperate?

Please don't stress. Children don't need to sit perfectly still or smile at the camera the entire time. Some of the most meaningful photographs come from genuine interaction, curiosity, cuddles, and play. I work at your child's pace and embrace the little moments that make your family unique.

What happens if it rains?

Florida weather loves to keep us guessing! If rain or unsafe weather is expected, we'll simply reschedule for the next available date that works for both of us at no additional charge.

Do you help us pose?

Absolutely. Most of the families you see in my portfolio aren't professional models, and they didn't know what to do either. I'll gently guide you throughout the session while encouraging natural interaction so your photographs feel authentic rather than overly posed.

Frequently Asked Questions

We've never done professional photos before. What if we don't know what to do?

Absolutely! In fact, most of the families you see throughout my portfolio have never been professionally photographed before.

You don't need to worry about knowing how to pose, where to stand, or what to do with your hands. I'll gently guide you every step of the way while encouraging natural interaction instead of stiff poses.

My goal is to create an experience that feels relaxed and enjoyable so you can focus on each other, not the camera.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if my kids don't cooperate?

Honestly? That's completely normal... and expected.

Children aren't meant to sit perfectly still or smile on command. Some of my favorite images come from the in-between moments: the giggles, the cuddles, the curious wandering, and even the little bursts of chaos.

I photograph children with patience, flexibility, and plenty of grace. Rather than forcing perfect poses, I embrace who they are in this season of life. Those authentic moments often become the photographs families treasure most.
